Mr. Uche Aniago is a seasoned insurance expert, and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He has a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Masters in Education ( M.Ed.) degrees from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Aniago worked with NICON Insurance Corporation where he was Zonal Technical Officer before joining Union Assurance Company (member of the Union Bank Group) in 2004 as a Regional Manager.

While working as the Head of Port-Harcourt region at Union Assurance, he was a member of the Risk Management Committee. He was also a team Lead during the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard project at Union Assurance. He joined Saham Unitrust Insurance Limited in March 2016 as Manager, South-South/South East Area.

Mr. Aniago acquired quality administrative and management experience in his many years of service in the insurance industry. He had managed the Travelers’ Insurance Scheme for NICON Insurance at both their Port-Harcourt and Aba offices.

He was a pioneer insurance lecturer at the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba from 1995 to 1997 and also a part time lecturer with the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, PH study center from 1997 to 2011. In the same period, he was an instructor with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

Uche was the State Chairman of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) serving also as a council member and chief invigilator from 2010 to 2017.

He has attended so many training programs, workshops, seminars, symposia, etc and has equally won several awards from his employers and the insurance industry.

Uche Aniago was the president of De Summit Club of Nigeria, a social club with headquarters in Port-Harcourt from 2011 to 2015. He is an active member of the Port-Harcourt Sports Club (Lawn Tennis Section) and happily married and blessed with children.
